The United States (20.2 Mt) narrowly leads China (15.4 Mt) and Brazil (13.7 Mt), the world's top exporter — chicken has become the most produced meat in the world across all species, driven by a much shorter rearing cycle and a far higher protein yield per hectare of feed land than beef.
